Graduate of the United States Naval Academy (Bachelor of Science, General Engineering) and Boston University (Master of Science, Business Administration). Served as a logistics officer in the United States Marine Corps (Active Duty and Reserve) with worldwide assignments.
Has served in several roles with direct or indirect responsibilities for profit and loss, operations, strategic planning, project management, process improvement, auditing, and others in Fortune 500 companies for more than 30 years. Served as a corporate liaison to the American Productivity and Quality Center and the Conference Board. Is additionally a practitioner of the principals of Total Quality Management. For seven years, was an adjunct professor of International Management at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Currently works in a firm that is a global leader in diversified markets that focuses on security, defense, and infrastructure.
In the volunteer arena, Bruce served as an Area Coordinator for United State Naval Academy Admissions for over 20 years, a board member for US Senatorial and Congressional Service Academy Nominations, Senior Warden at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio Texas, Texas State Guard Operations Officer (2D Brigade), UTSA Civil Engineering Advisory Board Member, and Texas Military Institute (TMI) Trustee. Currently serves on the Transition Assistance Team for the National Naval Officers Association.
Selected awards include Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA), Montford Point Marine Association Presidents Award, and USAA Operational Excellence Award.
